Pictures are actually latest first. Shows a glass-blowing demo at the Toledo Glass Museum of the Toledo Art Institute. An absolutely great museum complex--and no admission! Beautiful environment and collection.

The Detroit Institute was just incredible. Truly impressive. Great collection--and the Diego murals!

Felt I needed to visit Greenfield Village staying in Dearborn! Interesting, but was hot and needed more than a day. Actually, really impressed with Detroit. There is a lot to do and see in Detroit.

Better luck lately with getting cheap hotels on Priceline. Stayed at Hilton Embassy Suites in Detroit for $35 (fees extra), Marriot Courtyard in Dearborn for $35 (fees extra), $25 (fees extra) for Extended Stay Suites in Toledo, and booked at Sheraton Suites in Columbus for $35 (fees extra). So looks like hotels sort of empty prior to the 4th.
