Grand Canyon May 1 -- What can I say?

Hotel insights: Seems Priceline works best in larger cities--higher class hotels. Stayed at another Rodeway Inn--very cheap; called in to Choice Hotels reservations to get discounts. Some Rodeways are not too bad--definitely better than Motel6; besides you don't have to pay for Wifi; Motel6 charges $3.99 for Wifi. Extended Stay Suites charge $4.99 for Wifi.

Stayed in Kingman, AZ last night at Rodeway Inn. Not too bad, except for obnoxious clerk at check-in; questioned my reservation--as it was about $1 less than discounted rate she had. Blecccchhhh. One in Flagstaff not bad, but rates almost triple over the weekend. Generally, rates go up everywhere on weekends, except for podunk places.
