Saturday/Sunday April 25-April 26 TAOS

Gorgeous scenery, lovely town. Went to Taos Pueblo--oldest continually occupied community in US. Actually, found an affordable turquoise and silver necklace--for $32! Shock!

Had Indian fried bread for breakfast at pueblo--owner/cook of little shop sat and chatted while I ate. Very friendly. Chatted with jewelry guy also--he makes silver jewelry; although he said he generally does not string the beads.

Hotel not bad. Another sort of fading formally really nice hotel. Again, lack of maintenance. This one, management not too bad. Saturday night they had live entertainment in the bar. I was the ONLY one in the audience!!! Had a cheeseburger/fries for $5! Cheap! Huge portion; could only eat half. Went swimming and to Jacuzzi.
