Day 4 or Friday, April 17 -- Little Rock to
Fort Smith, AR -- Ok, conservatives, you can skip the following
pictures. Went to the Clinton Presidential Library--very impressive and
interesting. Huge building. Separate building for school. There also was a Peter Max exhibit -- didn't take any pictures; not too impressed with his later stuff. Doesn't seem to be terribly original. |

Day 5 Saturday 18 April -- Oklahoma -Texas -- Passed through Oklahoma City. Saw world's largest cross or so says the sign--hard to find a non-right-wing, non-Christian radio station. Saw windmills and two blades being transported. Looks like T. Boon doing more than talking! Blades unbelievably huge. Landscape really changed. Flat. Lots of big sky country. Very windy. Lots of weather warnings on radio--so tried to avoid storm/floods/tornadoes. Succeeded. Only some scattered rain and lots of wind. Sky changed from dark gloomy to blue and cloudy. Ran out of luck on Priceline--weekends always harder to find hotels, so ended up in a Motel6 in Amarillo. Got really cold and windy. Was 40 degrees with wind chill. Split out of Amarillo way quick.
Sunday-Tuesday I'm in Albuquerque at the Plaza Inn--Looked better in the pictures, but it is fine and has a pool and Jacuzzi, and Laundromat, so can catch up on laundry--relax a bit, and hook up with Jackie and Patricia.. . 505 243 5693. |
